As a part of our weekly worship gathering, we take the words of The Bible very seriously. What this has translated into on a week in, week out basis is taking time to read four passages each week. Some we read. Some we reflect on. Some we teach on.
These texts are pulled each week from the Revised Common Lectionary that, if followed, will lead us through a full survey of the entirety of scripture within 3 years. What that means for us as a community is the gift of struggling through the passages that are both easy and hard on the hearer. Instead of picking and choosing what parts of scripture we will deal with, we must deal with all of it. By doing so, we hope to hear from God in some very, very incredible ways.
