Our weekly, Saturday night gatherings are held in a cafe space with couches and coffee tables between 6-8pm. Think “coffee house vibe”with the focus on building one other up and honoring Jesus Christ. It’s quite a different feel from a traditional church setting: no pews, no monologue, no suits (unless you really want to!). At Open House, we center on “guided discussion,” so that means regular interaction within the group throughout our time together…perhaps a bit different than you’ve experienced.
That being said, we affirm the history of church practice within a worshipping community. Even though our expression is non-traditional, we both encourage and participate in all of the ancient practices weekly: singing, praying, giving, communion, Bible reading, Bible teaching, and discussion. Our gathering time is participatory and intimate. All of these practices are intended to connect us with Christ Jesus and with each other. Childcare is provided.
